1920-1940Left Photo: Ahern expanded their geographic coverage throughout the earlly 1900's, working on projects from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania. One of the more noteworthy projects was the R.E. Olds Tower in Lansing, Michigan, which Ahern worked on in 1931.
Center and Right Photos: Ahern was responsible for the heating and plumbing installations for dozens of Fond du Lac landmarks, including the Retlaw Theater (photo circa 1925) and St. Agnes Hospital (engine room photo circa 1935).
In 1921, John F. assumed control and incorporated the company, which he renamed J. F. Ahern Co. Early on, J. F. saw opportunities beyond the town of Fond du Lac. He and his sons, Tom and Don, sought out commercial, institutional, and industrial work throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. Next Era
